Pupil Parliament

Breakwater Academy places children at the heart of everything we do, and we value the contribution that our children make to ensuring Breakwater Academy is a safe and happy place to learn. Our Pupil Parliament plays an important role in this.

Having put themselves forward for the role, Pupil Parliament representatives are voted for by their classmates. There are usually two representatives per class.

The Pupil Parliament meets fortnightly and the agenda covers a variety of areas: for example, pupil responsibilities, reducing food waste, rights and responsibilities, anti-racism and pupil surveys, to name but a few.
