In Geography, we aim to expose children to different parts of the world by making careful links to their class reading text, or previous learning. Children will study the physical and human geography of places, exploring how the physical features of a space impacts the lives of the people who inhabit it. Alongside this, we equip pupils with knowledge about how people affect their surroundings; resource distribution; the movement and distribution of people; and the formation and use of landscapes. Together with this knowledge, children will develop key geographical skills such as using maps and carrying out field work.
